The starting point for this landscape project located in Chanhassen, Minnesota was correcting the steepness of the driveway. When visiting arrived at this home they parked in front of the garage on slope that was steep, greater than 10%. Getting out of your vehicle was a choir and walk to the entrance of the home was uncomfortable. In addition, our clients children enjoyed playing basketball. So we designed a new switched back style driveway with a large auto court where guest could park comfortably and the children could enjoy a new play area.
In addition to the auto court we also designed and built the front entry court with the arbor covered entry door. The entry court become a nice private sitting area where a deciduous hedge separated it from the new driveway and the street below. The new light posts matched the new lights and wall plates that we painted white to match the arbor and house trim.
